We’re delighted to announce that JTL has appointed CELCAT to supply Timetabler  8 and its services.

Whilst every new implementation is special, this one is particularly notable! Why? Because JTL represents the very first implementation of CELCAT Timetabler  8 Hosted, our fully managed service in the Cloud.

JTL, established since 1990, is the leading work-based learning provider in the building services engineering sector across England and Wales, serving approximately 8,000 apprentices and 3,800 employers in 4 regions.

Working with over 100 colleges, partnerships and their own centres, JTL needed a user-friendly web-based application that allows tutors to quickly access their timetable, class registers and mark the attendance of learners. CELCAT Timetabler  Live is perfect for this job! The intuitive design of the user interface includes shortcuts to registers for the day and any that are overdue, so a tutor does not have to spend time searching for the right register. The CELCAT Notification service provides back-office support by alerting Apprentice Support Officers via email to unauthorised absences, facilitating timely intervention which is critical to JTL’s safeguarding and wellbeing policy.

Deployment of the CELCAT Timetabler  system has been in phases, with completion anticipated by the end of February 2022.

Some exciting developments have resulted from the implementation, including the expansion of a mail-merge feature in CELCAT Systems Integration Manager (SIM) to produce Training Centre Progress Reports. These reports combine elements of the learner’s profile and record of attendance; they are automatically emailed directly to training centre representatives to complete.

In the future, we look forward to working with JTL to provide learners with a way of selecting their English and Maths teaching activities using CELCAT Self-Service Student Activity Allocator.
