UK software firm CELCAT have been awarded a three-year deal to implement their innovative timetable management system - CELCAT Timetabler - into all five technical and further education (TAFE) colleges in Western Australia.
The new contract follows CELCAT partner CDS (Australasia) Pty Ltd’s success with securing all TAFE institutions in Queensland. Clive O’Sullivan, Director, CDS Australasia Pty Ltd, said:
“We are thrilled to be selected after fierce competition for this project and excited to work closely with the Department of Training and Workforce Development, Western Australia to ensure the deployment is smooth and efficient. We know the TAFE environment well and the work CELCAT has done to meet the demands of the TAFE sector is invaluable”.
Since the streamlining of the TAFE college structure the Department in Western Australia wanted a common timetabling solution. Historically, TAFE colleges across Australia selected software independently from each other and CELCAT became renowned in many institutions for having excellent customer relations, technical support and integrity. CELCAT also has TAFE clients in TAFE Queensland (State wide licence), Victoria, TAFE Tasmania (State wide Licence), and South Australia.
During the tender process CELCAT consultant Seddon Kirk worked closely with Student Management software company - Technology One - to ensure CELCAT Timetabler could be fully integrated without the need for any third-party software. This was crucial to CDS securing the deal.
CELCAT and CDS (Australasia) Pty Ltd have a strong partnership dating back to the late 1990s. As a result of their long-established relationship, CELCAT Timetabler is being used in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Pacific Islands.
The new contract is a significant win for CELCAT and its partners world-wide as they continue to expand into the global market with their comprehensive software solutions.
