COM Library

The CELCAT Timetabler COM Library is a programming interface to the CELCAT Timetabler software, providing read/write access to the timetable data using a language-independent, object-oriented library. The library allows you to develop your own software tools and applications that use and/or modify CELCAT Timetabler data in a bespoke way.

Note - you need CELCAT Timetabler 6.2 or later to use the COM Library.

Sample Applications (written in Visual Basic 2005):

• LocateStaff - displays a list of all staff in the timetable and indicates where they are now (i.e. the room in which they are currently scheduled).
• TelBook - displays staff names and telephone numbers.

Important Notes:

• In many cases you will need to modify the source code of these applications to specify appropriate user credentials, server names, database name, etc.
• The above applications are intended to showcase the COM Library and should not be considered 'industrial-strength' software. Feel free to modify and use as you wish. Exercise caution when using with timetable data, ensuring that your applications are tested before deployment.
