CELCAT office expansion aids training

Owing to continued success, CELCAT has expanded its office facilities at its headquarters in Coventry. CELCAT took up residence near Warwick University in May 2000, but with a growing army of developers it has become necessary to take over additional office space. The expansion has an added bonus. The ground floor is to be converted into dedicated training facilities. CELCAT trainer Colin Layton said, “the provision of these training facilities at our Coventry office will make us more flexible and responsive to the needs of our customers.” The training rooms are to be equipped with the latest PC equipment and comfortable rest areas for trainees to study and relax. It also means that CELCAT will be able to undertake more varied training of smaller groups at short notice. To find out more about CELCAT training courses contact us.

CELCAT Development team is strengthened

Research and development lay the groundwork for a successful future in any business. Here at CELCAT we are committed to ensuring that our academic software solutions are relevant to our customers’ needs today, and into the future. With this in mind CELCAT has recruited two additional talents to their software development team. Denis Seale is being supported as a PhD research student in the field of ‘Automated Scheduling’. Denis is working with our development team with a view to developing tools to automate areas of the class scheduling process that are simple to use and effective, a hitherto elusive goal for companies servicing this market.

Additionally with the advent of projects such as EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance), and other initiatives to ensure student attendance in higher and further education, CELCAT has recruited Helcio Mayor. Helcio’s brief is to assist in the development of our SAT (Student Attendance Tracking) software. SAT integrates with Timetabler 6 providing an effective means of generating and maintaining electronic registers. Contact us for more information.
