AACRAO 2012 Annual Meeting - Investing in the Future of Higher Education

CELCAT will be at the 98^th Annual Meeting of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) to be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from April 1-4, 2012

The historic city of Philadelphia, affectionately known as the city of brotherly love, was founded in the 17^th century from a number of smaller Dutch and Swedish settlements. William Penn, a real estate entrepreneur, philosopher, and Quaker, was granted a royal charter for the district in 1682; it was he who named it Philadelphia. It served as the nation's capital for a time, and is home to the Liberty Bell.

It is therefore fitting that an organisation with over a century of history should hold its annual meeting in this historic city. Although the convention centre itself is relatively modern (opened in 1993) it is within easy walking distance of the historic quarter.
