the former Abbey Hotel.
High Street
The
Old Kenilworth. High Street was the Medieval centre of the town. It was
in the public square at the cross roads pictured, that protestant reformer
Hugh Latimer gave his last sermon before being executed.
Further
up High Street.
The
old Parochial Hall. Used during the war to house wounded soldiers.
The
Stone House, High Street. Apparently named after Admiral Stone who had
the house built in the same proportions as his ship. The roof is supposedto
be like an upturned keel.

Clock
The
clock tower is situated at the 'top' of town, an area known as The Square
(it was square before a landmine devastated the area in November
1940).
Mr
Turner of Abbey Hill erected the tower in 1906 in memory of his wife who
died in 1891.
Talisman Square
Unflattering
view of Talisman Square shopping precinct. 1999 finds it in much need
of a facelift or complete overhaul of the 1960s facade.
Warwick Road
Main
street through Kenilworth. Location of most the best eating places.
