The author has "tried to present... certain entertaining and interesting facets of life in the town through the centuries". The book includes a reprint of Robert Laneham's letter describing one of the visits of Queen Elizabeth I to Kenilworth. Early maps, newspaper articles and adverts are dissected in order to discover more of the town's history.
